Why we came home early

Well I survived the camping trip - just. I have to say that in the end we only spent 1 night camping due to getting drenched at Pickering Traction Engine Rally. We had been there about 4 hours with lovely sunshine and were about 3 fields away from the car park when the heavens opened and there was nowhere to shelter. Of course the unbrellas were in the car:( The only thing we could do was head to the car and strip off. Not an easy thing to do. Our only clean clothes being those we were to wear home on Sunday. We decided the only thing to do was head home and get a nice hot shower and clean dry clothes on.

However Sunday was lovely and Bernie Woods once again did us proud at Valley Gardens.
