Down, but not out - yet

A precious day off and I have been doing more listing to ebay. It seems like a lot of work for very little return, but I keep telling myself that if any of it goes, I have that little bit more space back in my dining room. Who knows I may even be able to eat in here again one day:) But the prices are less than I paid for a lot of the items, and unless they sell I will also be out of pocket on the listing fees. I am going to Tesco to get some essentials, and will spend rest of day knitting the pram blanket I am working on. There is another traders meeting tonight and I am not looking forward to that. I will then have the minutes to type up and print out. So will have to give the listing a miss for a few days. Thank goodness its nearly time for my holiday:) Roll on the 5th, then Skeggy here I come.

Did you download Turbo Lister to do your auctions? I used it when I was doing a lot of auctions and it does save time. Once you've saved a default description that states your terms etc all you need to enter is the item description, photos and price. You can then upload them all at the same time. The only down side that I found was that if you've got 20 auctions all finishing at the same time you can get swamped by all the emails!

I do hope that you do well on ebay.
Will you be knitting for customers/clients once you leave the shop, or just for pleasure?
^__^

No Susan I didn't use Turbo Lister, I list through autiva. I find the photo taking, uploading and writing decriptions take all the time.
I may still knit for friends when I leave, I am not sure if I will for customers yet.

Such a shame that you have to close the shop. I understand though how much time it takes from your day. Now at least you can get all those things done that you have had to put aside.
I have so many projects waiting for me when I retire in a couple of months time. Knitting, quilting, toy making books adorne my bedroom (which is the only place I can get some peace and quite in the evnings. I love to crawl into bed and read or watch my tv programmes or finish off sewing up garments. By the end of the week the room looks like a tip, so I have to spend Saturday tidying-unless I am working that day! :)

My projects waiting to be done, might take a bit longer than I thought - I have a job lined up for when I close the shop. I thought it might be a novel idea to have a wage for a few months:)
