Bond

Among the old knitting machines rescued from the tip, I also have an old Bond. Still in the box it was sent in and unopened. I tore a corner from the cardboard to discover what it was. There is also several other bits and pieces that belong to it. But I have never used a Bond, and was unsure whether to try. Having read Sue's description of hers and how much she loves it, I am now thinking I really should get it out and have a try. The only problem is that space is limited. So I am going to try and clear some space in the shop and see if I can set it up there. I know this will cut down on my hand knitting time, but wonder if there will be a way that I can incorperate the two. As there is no ribber, I wonder if doing the ribs by hand would be a good idea. I know you can do a rib on a Bond by dropping alterate stitches and then latching them up, but would the result be worth the effort? Yesterday I got little done as a friend and I went into to Hull for an eye test and a bit of retail therapy. Its great to browse through the big shops and M & S had some wonderful sale offers. I bought two sweaters, she says blushing. But I have not knitted anything for myself for over a year. That old enemy, lack of time again. Have I added any enteries to my diary since 2nd March? No, but think I can just remember last 2 days, so will take it to work with me and catch up. :)
